Endoscopic Brow Lift

The goals of this procedure are to alleviate the weightiness of drooping eyebrows, decrease wrinkles on the forehead and between the eyebrows, and to lift the brows and eyelids, resulting in a rejuvenated and more energetic appearance.

Who is the best candidate?

Age is not a limiting factor as wrinkles and frown lines tend to show up early on the brow and forehead. While Botox injections can address some of these early signs of aging, a brow lift can offer a long-term solution by smoothing out these undesirable lines and providing a revitalizing lift to the brow. This can result in a more youthful, invigorated and amicable appearance, even among young individuals who may have a hereditary inclination to a frown appearance and low position of the eyebrows.

The endobrow procedure may also eliminate the need for Botox injections for years and years to come. This procedure provides long lasting results. During Dr. Turowski’s 25 years of experience performing this surgery, he has never had to repeat the procedure to achieve results.

How is brow lift performed?

There has been a significant revolution in the way brow surgery has been performed over the last 20 years. The traditional “open” method has been almost completely replaced by the “endoscopic” brow lift, which is an advanced and minimally invasive procedure. This technique involves inserting a small fiberoptic lens through half-inch incisions which are carefully placed inside the hairline. The necessary instruments are also inserted through these small incisions, and the entire procedure is monitored using a camera and a TV monitor. Compared to the open approach, the endoscopic method significantly reduces postoperative discomfort, scarring and loss of scalp sensation. In Dr. Turowski’s hands, this procedure provides a perfect combination of natural results and minimal, well covered scars. Although there is a risk of minimal losses of hair around incision lines, we have not observed this in our long-term results. No hair needs to be shaved for the procedure.

Recovery

Patients typically experience minimal discomfort and the incisions are not visible as they are discreetly placed inside the hairline. Some bruising and swelling around the eyes may occur but this typically subsides within a week or two. Since there are no incisions or sutures on the face, patients can often return to their daily routines in just a few days, using makeup to cover any residual signs of the procedure.
